Duran Duran
Formed in Birmingham, England, in 1978, Duran Duran became global superstars and leaders of the 1980s MTV-driven "Second British Invasion" by blending new wave, funk, and polished pop-rock with stylish, cinematic music videos. The classic lineup—Simon Le Bon, Nick Rhodes, John Taylor, Roger Taylor, and Andy Taylor—achieved massive success with hits like "Rio," "Hungry Like the Wolf," and "Girls on Film". Despite lineup changes and evolving musical landscapes, they continued to release successful albums, such as their 1993 comeback The Wedding Album, while selling over 100 million records worldwide and being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2022.
