
David O'Dowda
David O'Dowda is an Irish singer, multi-instrumentalist, and composer based in Manchester, England, known for his atmospheric alternative rock and cinematic scores. Born in Manchester on May 27, 1980, he began performing publicly at age 11 and launched his professional music career in 2012 with the single "Hold My Eyes". A prolific contributor to the music supervision agency Velvet Ears, his work has been featured extensively in major film and television productions, including The Walking Dead, Homeland, and the Netflix original Hot Girls Wanted, as well as global advertisements for brands like IKEA and Stella Artois. In addition to his solo discography, which includes EPs such as The World Retreats and the 2025 album Torch Light, O'Dowda is an educator who has served as an associate lecturer in commercial songwriting at BIMM University.
