Danny Farrant (often referred to as Daniel Farrant in professional credits) is a British musician and composer best known as the drummer for the legendary punk rock band Buzzcocks, which he joined in 2006. Beyond his extensive touring and recording career with the band, including preparations for their 50th-anniversary album in 2026, he has performed as a session drummer for notable acts such as The Alarm, Bad Manners, and Spear of Destiny. Farrant is also a prolific composer for television and film, having contributed original music to high-profile projects like the BAFTA-nominated Louis Theroux: Dark States and the Emmy-winning documentary White Right: Meeting the Enemy. Additionally, he is a dedicated drum tutor with over 25 years of experience, operating a teaching practice in North London.
