Crystal Places
Crystal Places is a modern musical project known for its emotive indie-rock and alternative sound, notably featured on the 2023 album Pieces of You which includes tracks like "See It Through" and "So Bad". However, the name is frequently confused with Crystal Palace, a German progressive rock band founded in Berlin in 1991 that evolved from guitar-heavy instrumentals to a melodic art-rock style over several decades. Led by longtime member Jens Uwe "Yenz" Strutz, Crystal Palace achieved international recognition with albums such as The System of Events (2013) and Dawn of Eternity (2016), eventually releasing their first concept album, Still There, in 2022 to critical acclaim. The project’s history is marked by shifting lineups and a commitment to complex, atmospheric arrangements that have allowed them to perform at major festivals across Europe and the United States.
