Climax Blues Band

The Climax Blues Band, formed in Stafford, England, in 1968 as The Climax Chicago Blues Band, evolved from traditional blues to incorporate rock, pop, and funk, achieving major hits with "Couldn't Get It Right" (1976) and "I Love You" (1981). Key members included Colin Cooper (vocals, sax) and Peter Haycock (guitar), with the band shortening its name and finding success through albums like Gold Plated and FM Live, becoming known for polished musicianship and catchy, soulful hits.
