Chaka Khan
Chaka Khan, born Yvette Marie Stevens in Chicago (1953), is the "Queen of Funk," famous for her powerful vocals and hits with the band Rufus ("Tell Me Something Good") and as a solo artist ("I'm Every Woman," "I Feel for You"). After joining Rufus in the early 70s, she launched a successful solo career, winning multiple Grammy Awards and earning a Hollywood Walk of Fame star, while also navigating personal challenges and becoming a respected music icon with a career spanning over five decades.
