Bleeding Fingers

Founded in August 2013 as a joint venture between Extreme Music (the production arm of Sony Music Publishing), Hans Zimmer, and Steven Kofsky, Bleeding Fingers Music is an Emmy-winning and BAFTA-nominated collective of composers based in Santa Monica, California. Operating out of Remote Control Productions, the company was established to meet high-end client demand for custom, top-tier television, film, and multimedia scores, specializing in creating unique and diverse soundtracks. With a staff of experienced composers—many of whom have apprenticed under Zimmer—Bleeding Fingers has created acclaimed scores for Planet Earth II, Planet Earth III, The Simpsons, The Tattooist of Auschwitz, and Prehistoric Planet, and was announced in 2026 to be composing the score for the HBO Harry Potter series.
