Black Rebel Motorcycle Club (BRMC) is a San Francisco-formed rock trio (Peter Hayes, Robert Levon Been, Leah Shapiro), known for their garage/blues/psychedelic sound, named after Marlon Brando's gang in The Wild One; they emerged in 1998, gaining fame with their self-titled debut (2001) and its hit "Spread Your Love," evolving through acoustic folk on Howl (2005) before returning to noisy rock, known for their dark aesthetic and powerful live shows.
