Born in Reykjavík, Iceland, in 1965, Björk Guðmundsdóttir is a pioneering singer, songwriter, and producer renowned for her distinct three-octave voice, experimental genre-blending, and eccentric visuals. Rising from punk roots to front the Sugarcubes, she launched a massive solo career with 1993’s Debut, pioneering electronica, art-pop, and nature-tech themes.
