Will Smith, born September 25, 1968, is a charismatic American actor, rapper, and producer who rose from West Philadelphia to global superstardom, first as part of the Grammy-winning hip-hop duo DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince, then as the star of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and finally as a major film blockbuster actor, known for roles in Independence Day, Men in Black, Ali, The Pursuit of Happyness, and winning an Oscar for King Richard.
