Kevin James
Born in Mineola, New York, in 1965, Kevin James (born Kevin George Knipfing) began his career as a stand-up comedian on the Long Island circuit before finding mainstream success as a recurring guest on Everybody Loves Raymond. He is best known for his nine-season run as Doug Heffernan on the hit CBS sitcom The King of Queens (1998–2007), a role that earned him a Primetime Emmy nomination. James successfully transitioned to a leading film career with the romantic comedy Hitch (2005) and later solidified his status as a box-office draw with the Paul Blart: Mall Cop franchise and frequent collaborations with Adam Sandler in films like Grown Ups and I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry. Beyond his "everyman" comedic persona, he has also ventured into voice acting for the Hotel Transylvania series and explored darker, dramatic territory in the 2020 thriller Becky.
