Jon Hamm

Jonathan Daniel Hamm (born March 10, 1971) is a distinguished American actor and producer who achieved international stardom for his portrayal of the enigmatic advertising executive Don Draper in the AMC drama series Mad Men (2007–2015), a role that earned him a Primetime Emmy Award and two Golden Globes. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Hamm faced early personal tragedy with the loss of both parents by age 20, later working as a high school drama teacher—instructing future star Ellie Kemper—before moving to Los Angeles to pursue acting. Despite initial struggles and a self-imposed 30th-birthday deadline to find success, he built a versatile career spanning dramatic films like The Town and Top Gun: Maverick, as well as comedic turns in Bridesmaids and 30 Rock.
