
Isla Fisher
Isla Lang Fisher (born February 3, 1976) is an Australian actress and author known for her sharp comedic timing and vibrant screen presence. Born in Muscat, Oman, to Scottish parents and raised in Perth, Australia, she first gained fame as Shannon Reed on the long-running soap opera Home and Away (1994–1997). She successfully transitioned to Hollywood with the 2002 live-action Scooby-Doo, but her major breakthrough came as the scene-stealing Gloria Cleary in the 2005 hit Wedding Crashers, which earned her an MTV Movie Award for Best Breakthrough Performance. Fisher has since headlined popular films such as Confessions of a Shopaholic (2009) and Now You See Me (2013), while also taking on dramatic roles in projects like Tom Ford’s Nocturnal Animals (2016). Beyond acting, she is a prolific author of children's literature, including the Marge in Charge series, and recently starred in and executive produced the genre-bending series Wolf Like Me.
