Henry Franklin Winkler (born October 30, 1945) is a renowned American actor, producer, director, and author, best known for his iconic breakout role as Arthur "Fonzie" Fonzarelli on the sitcom Happy Days (1974–1984). Overcoming severe, undiagnosed dyslexia in his youth, he built a prolific, lasting career spanning decades, appearing in films like Night Shift and The Waterboy, and television series such as Arrested Development and Barry, the latter earning him a Primetime Emmy Award in 2018.
