Christopher Walken
Christopher Walken (born Ronald Walken; March 31, 1943) is an iconic American actor whose career spans over six decades, defined by his unmistakable deadpan delivery and rhythmic, eccentric speech patterns. A native of Astoria, Queens, he began his career as a child actor during the Golden Age of Television and trained as a musical theater dancer at Hofstra University before moving to film. Walken catapulted to stardom with his haunting, Academy Award-winning performance as Nick in The Deer Hunter (1978). Since then, he has built a prolific filmography that ranges from intense villains in A View to a Kill (1985) and Batman Returns (1992) to comedic scene-stealers in Wedding Crashers (2005) and his legendary "More Cowbell" sketch on Saturday Night Live. Whether showcasing his dance skills in Fatboy Slim's "Weapon of Choice" music video or playing the formidable Emperor Shaddam IV in Dune: Part Two (2024), Walken remains one of Hollywood's most versatile and parodied cultural icons.
