Al Pacino, born Alfredo James Pacino in 1940, is an iconic Italian-American actor known for intense performances, rising to fame in The Godfather, winning an Oscar for Scent of a Woman, and achieving the Triple Crown of Acting (Oscar, Emmy, Tony). Raised in the South Bronx by his mother and grandparents after his parents' divorce, he overcame poverty and a challenging youth to study at the High School of Performing Arts and Actors Studio, becoming a legendary figure in theater and film, recently releasing his own memoir, Sonny Boy.
